2. What data we process on this site, and why
No sales are made and no payments are taken on this site. The distance sales contract and the cancellation and return terms for products are published on our shop site, drkalannatural.com . The personal data processed on this site is limited to the following:
a) Answers to the temperament test and the seasonal balance test
In the free temperament test and the seasonal balance test, you answer questions about your body build, how warm or cold you feel, pulse, tendency to swelling, skin and nail condition, sleep and digestive habits, and seasonal complaints. Some of these answers are special category personal data (health data) within the meaning of Article 6 of the KVKK.
The tests run in your browser. Your answers are not sent to our servers and are not recorded by us; your result is calculated on your device and shown on screen. Your answers are lost when you leave the page. You do not need to give your name, email or any other personal information to complete a test.
b) Contact
When you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, the name, contact details and message content you send are processed only to respond to your request. Legal basis: KVKK Art. 5(2)(f) (the data controller’s legitimate interest). If you choose to write via WhatsApp, the conversation takes place under the terms and privacy policy of WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.).
c) Newsletter / email list
If you enter your email address in the form below your test result and accept the privacy notice, your email address and the name of your test result (for example “Choleric” or “Phlegm increased”) are added to our email list. This allows us to send you content suited to your temperament and commercial electronic messages. Apart from the name of the result, your individual answers to the test are not recorded.
Legal basis: your explicit consent and Turkish Law No. 6563 on electronic commerce. Signing up is entirely optional; you can see your test result and use all of the site’s content without filling in the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the link at the bottom of every message or by writing to info@drkalan.com.
d) Technical records and cookies
IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and cookie records are processed to keep the site secure and to measure visit statistics. Non-essential cookies run only if you consent in the cookie banner. For details, see our Cookie Policy .
3. Transfer of data
Your personal data may be shared with the following service providers so that we can provide the service:
- Our hosting provider — to run and back up the site (Türkiye).
- The Rocket Science Group LLC (Intuit Mailchimp) — to manage the email list and send the newsletter (USA). It receives only the data in section (c), and only if you consent.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (WhatsApp) — only if you choose to write to us via WhatsApp, to deliver the messages (Ireland / USA).
Because some of these services are provided abroad, the related data is transferred abroad under Article 9 of the KVKK. For newsletter sign-up and non-essential cookies, this transfer happens only with your explicit consent.
Data may also be disclosed to legally authorised public authorities where and to the extent required by law.
4. Retention periods
- Test answers: not stored. Answers exist only in your browser while you are on the page.
- Newsletter records (email address and name of the test result): until you withdraw consent. Consent records are additionally kept for 3 years as required by law.
- Contact records: 2 years from when the request is closed.
- Technical security logs: 1 year.
5. Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)
Regarding your personal data, you have the right to: learn whether it is processed; request information about it; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used for that purpose; know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; ask for it to be corrected if incomplete or inaccurate; ask for it to be erased or destroyed; ask for these actions to be notified to third parties it was transferred to; object to an outcome against you that results solely from automated analysis; and claim compensation if you suffer damage from unlawful processing.
6. How to apply
You can send requests by email to info@drkalan.com or in writing to the address above. Your request will be concluded within 30 days at the latest. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity.
7. Security measures
The site is served encrypted over HTTPS, access to the admin panel is restricted, and regular backups are made. Because test answers are never sent to the server, no health data is held on our servers.
8. Changes
This notice may be updated because of changes in legislation or in how the site works. The current version is published on this page and the date above is updated.
